Course Information
Over the duration of five days, this course offers extensive training on the considerations and methodologies involved in designing a VMware NSX® environment within a software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy. Participants will acquire the necessary skills to lead the design of an NSX environment, encompassing design principles, processes, and frameworks. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the NSX architecture and its application in devising solutions tailored to address the specific business requirements of customers.
Upon completion of the course, you will be capable of achieving the following objectives:
- Describing and applying a comprehensive design framework.
- Applying a systematic design process to gather requirements, constraints, assumptions, and risks effectively.
- Designing a VMware vSphere® virtual data center tailored to support NSX requirements seamlessly.
- Crafting a VMware NSX® Manager™ cluster design to meet organizational needs efficiently.
- Developing a VMware NSX® Edge™ cluster design capable of accommodating traffic and service requirements within the NSX environment.
- Designing logical switching and routing configurations to optimize network performance and efficiency.
- Recognizing and implementing NSX security best practices to enhance network security posture.
- Designing logical network services to align with business objectives and operational needs.
- Designing a physical network infrastructure to support network virtualization within a software-defined data center.
- Creating a comprehensive design to facilitate the deployment of NSX infrastructure across multiple sites efficiently.
- Describing the key factors influencing performance in NSX environments and implementing strategies to optimize performance effectively.
